January 3, 2011- Church Street Beauty

I tried a few different settings on my camera and what I found worked best was shooting without the flash. It was even better than the night setting. It's a little blurry. I need to work on my night shooting...or rather, I need to get a tripod.

I found myself down on Church Street this evening between work and yoga.  My task at hand was to buy some new Aveda facial cleanser, toner, moisturizer, etc….the whole nine….  However, when I arrived Stephen and Burns was closed and I happened to have my camera with me.  Nothing like admiring the lights a week or so after the holidays.  Downtown looks pretty.

January 2, 2011- I’m going to turn into a clementine!

I've consumed 2 crates of these sweet little balls of juiciness in the past 3 weeks. Keep in mind....I live alone.

2010 in Pictures

You can view the photos below, but some of the things that made 2010 amazing were: getting settled in my house (and the party I had last January), my sister Amanda joining Amy and I as she entered her 30s, a visit to California where I spent time with Amy, Dave, and the loves of my life- Benjamin and Hannah, stopping in Boulder to visit Liv on my way back across the country, all of the friends that helped to start cleaning up the dump that once was on the bank next to my house, the visit from my dad and Mary (thanks for helping to put together the porch furniture), doing engagement and/or wedding photos and family candids and portraits, spending Thanksgiving in Vermont with my mom and sister, getting back on skis, and taking time to slow down, be still, and breathe. Have you ever felt like you are exactly where you are supposed to be in your life?  That is how I feel as 2010 draws to a close and for that, I am filled with gratitude. Now, I’m off to clang some glasses….that is, if I can stay up until the ball drops.
