After coming up with a couple of ideas for the Keith Haring painting that I need to do for my art class a couple of weeks ago, I didn’t do anything more. This past weekend, I finally started sketching on the canvas. It’s due in a week so it looks like I have some painting to do. The only guidelines are that it needs to be done in the style of Keith Haring and it needs to communicate some sort of social action or event. I’m making an advertisement for the JDRF Ride to Cure which I will likely be participating in in the fall.
I know it’s kind of hard to see. I think the background is going to be purple, the bike is going to be orange, and the words are going to be magenta. If you aren’t familiar with Keith Haring’s work, he uses flat colors (no shading) and bold lines. All of my outlines are going to be black.
